Look I am all about cops protecting themselves but this guy should have tasered or ask to lay on the ground before his life was taken.
ETA: didn’t have audio on did the cop ask him to get on the ground?if he did then FAFO applies

Didn't look like it to me.
I wouldn't rule out drugs being involved, though.
That or mental illness.

Nah.
1. Not enough time for that.
2. Tasing is usually what happens when the perp is non-cooperative, but not posing an imminent threat. Resisting being cuffed ot running away or refusing to get on the ground.
This dude aggressively charged the officer, and remember, the whole incident was about him ramming construction vehicles with his car. He had already identified himself as being violent and erratic. Like someone else posted, he could have gotten the gun and shot the officer with it.
Got to use deadly force in that case.

Video doesn't show what happened before. He was attacking other people before with shite in his car before police showed up and not acting rationally at all.

As a retired LEO I can tell you you should sit this one out. The perp was completely out of control and had a weapon (not sure what it was) in his hand. The average person thinks just b/c the officer has a taser that is the answer. The perp was obviously on some sort of drug or mental/crazy, and was out of control. He was told multiple times to stop and he failed to obey any commands. The officer did his job and didn't let the perp get too close to disarm him. You don't use a taser against an out of control perp with a weapon in hand that is charging you.
