S&P is up nearly 1,500 points and the Dow is up 9,000 since Trump left office.

I'd say at this point Biden has earned another 4 years.

Welp.

Adjust it for inflation and say that again with a straight face.

I'm as much of a boomer as Bidenomics is a success.

Good luck convincing the Democrat base and the undecided middle class that the economy has never been better by pointing to the DOW.

Most Americans, who have minimal if any participation in the stock market, are really struggling to pay for rent, utilities, groceries, gas, insurance and healthcare but look at those hedge fund GAINZ!

I know Wall St and the limousine liberals are pleased but that other ***81 million is going to be a tough sell.

Damn, imagine if we go back in time and murder the COVID perpetrators and we were wrapping up Trump term 2. Dow would be at 50k, We'd have peace in the ME, no war in Ukraine, gas would cost $1.50/gallon, interest rates would be 2.5%, salaries up, inflation down, and a strong southern border.

Mortgages unaffordable.
Rent unaffordable.
Groceries unaffordable.

Yeah, we’re doing stellar.

This thread was about none of those things.. It was specifically about how the stock market hit a record high today .

It may as well be at $1 million, doesn't matter if your daily costs far exceed the gains of the DOW.

I was mostly trying to get under people's skin, but honestly other than the gas price, the rest are perfectly reasonable in the alternate world of no COVID hoax and Trump 2.

Last line of OP:
quote:

Building Back Better is working!

So no, the alleged “building back better” in the OP of this very thread is not working because:

Mortgages unaffordable. Rent unaffordable. Groceries unaffordable.

Obviously I’m just poking the OT bear praising Rotten Potato Head for the DOW; however, very doubtful we’d have $1.50/gallon gasoline right now unless some other event crashed oil and gasoline demand. It took Covid crashing oil demand, sending prices “negative” to get it that low last time.

But shite sure was nice in the Fall of 2019 with $2.50 gasoline, then-record high 28,500ish Dow, and about 3.5% unemployment rate that wasn’t some contrived number, and a less than 2% inflation rate.

Then all hell broke loose thanks to our wonderful friends in China.

Jesus Christ, there was a literal WALL of text in the OP, and you gonna cherry pick the very last line… Never, ever change OT !
