Peterman can be cut and brought back with zero risk if the Saints so choose lol
Wouldn't say zero risk. You risk not having that veteran presence if Carr gets concussed in a game (happened twice last year). If they think Haener or Rattler are ready to step in as QB2 week 1, sure they'll cut Peterman. But if they are not sure if either would be ready, they will need Peterman in position to play in a pinch. Having him sitting on the sofa waiting for a call does not help in the event of an in-game injury

They can cut him before week one and protect the other two on the 53 thus not putting them on the initial waiver wire all PS guys go through before week one was my point.

With a new offensive regime, all bets are off. They have no ties to Haener. The SF staff was pretty familiar with Haener
Yea but the same regime that burned two 4th round picks drafting him is still in place.
Remember this is the regime that let a league leading top 3 sack guy walk for nothing b/c they had two firsts invested in Davenport.

It’s one game, not like this is some championship level team and he’s backing up Mahomes. Hell Petetman could probably be put on the practice squad. No one is poaching him.

Same regime that waived 4th rounder Ian Book after 1 season too. They only used a 7th to swap 4ths to get Haener. Idk if he is or isn’t IT but I don’t think that draft pick is holding them back from moving on

I doubt they will cut Haener or Rattler for Nathan Peterman.

Carr = is who he is, which is avg to below avg qb
He isn't close to below average. He is on the high end of average, but not really above average.

I didn’t mention Peterman bunchy
He’s a PS guy who’s only here to help everyone learn. No one touched him on the Bears PS last season

I can’t believe all of these saints fans have talked themselves into believing that rattler is a decent qb… it’s absolute insanity caused by being a homer. Dude is garbage and always will be garbage

The same was probably said about Brett Favre. That's a close comparison to Rattler. Their play styles are similar. Nobody knows if SR will be a bust or not. The probability of him being a bust is high because he's a 5th rd pick but he's not automatically a bust without taking a snap.
Favre was a 2nd rd pick and Atlanta gave up on him. We all know how that turned out.

Lets just hope he doesn’t like to send dick pics to massage therapists.
