Based on some of the posts in this thread, maybe LSU shouldn't even show up for the game. I mean, according to some of you, we are fricked. Somebody call Miles, tell him that we are fricked, and to keep the team home for New Years.

I agree. This thread certainly doesn't sound like fans! A fan is a "fanatic".....we don't believe in reason, we believe in our team. I love my Tigers and we will KICK arse in this game. Just watch.........

This G Tech offense is crazy.

You're crazy. Have you seen the stats this year on LSU's ypa allowed against the pass? Give thanks that we are playing Georgia Tech rather than a Big XII team.

actually, that's about the best matchup of the mid-tier bowl games that we could have hoped for....

playing texas tech would have been an absolute nightmare for us....a deep passing team versus our inept coverage of the long ball....

Luckily for LSU, GT isn't that great. For evidence, watch the UNC game

Maybe you should just pull for GT

Somehow, Gardner-Webb held GT to a whopping 79 yds rushing (47 attempts!) and 120 passing, only 9 first downs, and outgained them 227-199 Losing to GT by only 10-7. How difficult can it be?

Seriously, I'd like to see film of that game.

try texas techs o. slinging it all over the field on us. they are a threat to score 70 on us. tech at least runs it so they should only score 40 or so

Hpw many days of practice does LSU have to prepare for them vs. how many days UGA had?

they would light ours up even worse. i don't even want to think how bad they would beat us. ole miss might have a shot to get pressure. we would get 0 pressure and crabtree would set a bowl record on us.

It's gonna be a tough game if they execute their offense without mistakes. In their three losses I believe they gave up 9 turnovers; that's something to look for. For example, they outgained UNC by more than 100 yards yet lost 28-7, giving up 3 TOs to 0. I think we'll need to do the same to win. I'm sticking with 35-24 Tech; I hope I'm wrong.

Watch film of any Michigan game.

For the GW game, we didnt have an option QB available. We played our 3rd and 4th string, one is a drop back QB and the other is a redshirt freshman walkon.

We ran the option anyway, because that is the only offense we had installed at that point.

Add to that one of our starting linebackers having seizures on the sideline and that kind of takes the players minds out of the game. We were playing poorly before that happened, so that might not have changed anything, but it didnt help.

Not as much as you think. UGA had a BYE week before they played us. Plus we've heard that Coach Johnson is installing some aspects of the offense that we haven't used all year (much of it being passing plays). Keep in mind, that we are still only running part of Paul Johnson's offense. He still has a lot he is going to install over the next couple of years.

That extra time doesn't just give the defense time to prepare, but gives our coach extra time to figure out tendencies and try to exploit those.

As long as our DB's don't jump off after 8 seconds of riding and give up maybe we can stop them.

Did you not see Julio Jones drag our defensive backs about five yards when he caught the ball.

Do you remember Snead dragging Coleman ten yards for a score.

I don't see how either of those has anything to do with what I posted. No matter what team we play, someone on the other side has to be tackled. Our D is going to do a better job of that if that person is not catching the ball 10 yards or more past the line of scrimmage.

Yeah, but you can predict 80% of the time which play they will call.

Sure, but since the direction the play goes is a presnap read that's really only 40%, and since the ball could end up in 3 places that's really only 13%. Assuming you guessed the play right.

And I'd like to burn any available film of that game. It was wretched. Made my eyes bleed.

Imagine trying to run the option with a Byron Leftwich clone who can't pass either. Our QB for that game plays offensive line on extra points.

I heard yall hired a triple option headhunter coach to coach you during the bowl game. Isn't that illegal or something?

Yeah since pre-snap confusion has not been a problem this season I can understand your confidence.
If we can't line up properly vs a standard offense, I suspect we will have a lot of assignment responsibility problems vs an offense that we haven't seen this season.
