It was a small group that opposed the name change, and their claim about being North Dakota was debunked being that they are based in Virginia. Lawsuit was tossed.

Petitioning to change the names of the Indians, Braves, Seminoles, and Chiefs it’s stupid as those clubs seemingly honored the bravery of Native Americans. Redskins is t exactly an honorary title.
They shouldn’t have changed it due to pressure from outside groups, but it is the name that is the most derogatory
