I gave my reasons, what’s yours?
Trey offers more and fits more with Pels than Franz, as does Suggs.
Unless Franz could play the 5 for us there’s zero reason to want him

Damn near every team will try to get him for cheap. You should always try to pray on teams like the Pelicans that try to trade players at Ingram talent level who can’t use him properly.

The Magic could be pretty enticing. I said the other day I would love to have Suggs

We could then flip Barnes and his salary to Cleveland with picks for Allen

Cavs are absolutely HURTING at the wing spot, that’s their biggest weakness. Barnes is a very good wing role player that knows his role and will not attempt to play outside of that.
Couple that with the fact that Cleveland absolutely has to split Allen and Mobley this offseason, you have a reason why Barnes and 2 1sts would be enticing to them.

They are not trading Allen for Barnes. Stop deluding yourself.

Correct, they would be trading Allen for two first round picks, Barnes is the salary filler to make the trade work, but also a player they can use.
Read the whole fricking trade proposed before deluding yourself.

think most of the fanbase is grossly overestimating BI’s trade value. Isaac and Anthony fit both on and off court IMO
We can absolutely do better than Isaac and Cole.

There’s a magic fan on Twitter that’s saying Issac is more valuable because he was 9th in 6th man of the year voting
Some of these people bruh

Suggs isn't that good. What else is there?

Franz has extremely high value as an asset, at worst. Suggs does not.

How do you use a guy like BI properly?

Has the talent to be a lead guard in the league
You apparently haven’t seen Suggs play since his rookie season

I don't think people know how to project players progressions or how they might evolve in the proper systems/situations.
Brunson is an easy and extreme example. But if you can find that ascending piece and put them in the right place, you get magic. We are so focused on finding that finished product that has already peaked. It's frustrating..

Suggs was a serviceable guard on a mid-tier team. He's not a starter on a playoff team and he just finished his age 22 year. He turns 23 in a few weeks.
His PER was 14.1. After his huge leap in his age 22 season, his PER was below the league average.
It's unlikely he'd start for us unless we dealt CJ, too. He's nowhere close to a lead guard. He'll need 2 more major jumps in successive seasons to even get into the discussion.

Our team doesn't have starting spots or minutes for developmental guys.
Last year we were a top 4-6 team in a loaded West until injuries derailed us. And that's with Trey coming off a major injury and never really getting into a groove.
We have clear needs to finish the roster, namely a mobile, defensive big. A unicorn (a mobile defensive big with some shooting/passing) would be amazing. You could sell me on Suggs only if we somehow got the unicorn big and kept CJ (which isn't possible).
A guy like Suggs on this team is a backup guy who can fill in during injuries/rest games.

I’d actually kind of prefer the Pistons. Duren is the big we need

Our best player Zion who only shoots around the rim being paired with a center who can only shoot around the rim...its just concerning.

I mean I get it but he’s, athletic, is an actual rim protector and only 20 years old. He would at least be an improvement for JV just because Willie would play him.
Allen would fit better offensively but idk if Willie would trust him anymore than JV, even though Allen is slightly better defensively
