The number of people on here pulling for a Saudi sports washing golf league to ruin professional golf is mind boggling. I figured most middle aged golfers here were Merica fuk yeah capitalists but I guess not. What we will end up with in 5 years as spectators will be so much worse than what we had. I truly don’t get why so many want to see the carnage.

If LIV and the Tour merge, Anthony Kim won’t be around for Brandel to cover. Having a tour with the best golfers in the world won’t have room for a guy that finishes DFL every week

Kind of funny that AK is the guy not wasting anytime making his comments
Koepka waiting till next week at Valhalla?
On another note, all the drama between PGA Tour & Tiger & Rory is really weird right now. Sounds like Tiger has taken over the role of dealing with negotiations between PGA/PIF and they don’t want to let Rory in. Really strange
ETA: well, apparently Rory IS on the transaction subcommittee negotiating the deal, but they won’t let him back on the PGA Tour Policy Board. LINK

Koepka, nor any of the other elite golfers on either tour, are likely to say anything of substance other than Phil who will probably troll in twitter

The Koepka/Brandel hate is real. I’d be surprised if he didn’t say something… maybe another “welfare check”

The LIV product is garbage

The PIF doesn't want to actually run the league/tour. What is happening is all they really want; to normalize doing business with them and forget about their atrocities etc.

But you have amateurs winning pga tour events and 15 year old amateurs making cuts every damn week on the tour

And LIV has ‘the best golfers on the planet’ that don’t make the cut in majors’ and a washed up coke head that couldn’t make a Monday qualifier. What’s your point?

Speith missed the cut in the Masters this year. And last years Masters LIV had 4 of the top 5 finishers. What's YOUR point? I'm not a LIV fanboy by any means. I watch both tours. But at least be honest dude.

My point is golf is hard, if the same people won every week it would be boring. I think Big Apple was trying to say the PGA competition is weaker now because an amateur won an event and 15 yo’s make the cut every week (which isn’t true). If LIV golfers were so great they would wreck all of the majors every year, which isn’t the case.
Side mote-Spieth may be done ever reaching the winners circle.

It has the last three weeks
I’m just tired of hearing how hard it is to compete on the tour. Come on man.
You had a damn am win an event for the first time in like 40 years and every week a teenager is kicking butt .. give me a break

Look, Brandel is a douche and I hate the blood money angle. Let’s get that out of the way
However, choosing to go with the Saudis when you absolutely have a choice (what Phil, DJ, etc did), and taking a deal with the Saudis to avoid suicide is completely different and trying to compare it is only something an idiot (Jim and op) or a coke head junkie (AK) would do
Once again, blood money angle is stupid and I don’t blame DJ and others for taking money. But wha brandel is saying here is not hypocritical to his douchey stance

Two 16 yo’s in the last two weeks? Who was three weeks ago and which one was 15 yo? Not picking apart your argument, just curious.
I would say those two kids are good for the game and growing the sport. Gives other’s motivation and drive to do the same.

& LIV has had 2 kids join straight out of college. 1 just got invited to PGA Championship, qualified for The Open, & should qualify to play on Spanish Olympic team with Rahm. The other has made $3M+ in just 7 events.
I believe the original argument was to dispute that LIV is a garbage product, which is just a biased opinion from a PGA Tour fan. Their tournaments are obviously different but usually very entertaining
