Dude didn’t have a single friend or family member there supporting him in court today. Pretty sad.

Dumbass. He will end up servicing 1.5years and be released early i’m sure. The prison system is in bad shape and it wasn’t a violent or drug crime. Still deserves to go to the can though.

There is no parole in federal prison. Only way he doesn’t serve the full sentence is if he wins an appeal or gets pardoned by the president.

not the end of the world. let him do his time and learn from his mistake(s).

The truth is: if one piece of shite like Madof or Jeff Skilling (Enron) were sentenced to 10-20 in Angola or Rikers Island, instead of probation or at worst, Club Fed, we would have an equitable criminal justice system!
You don’t seem to be aware that Madoff was sentenced to 150 years in prison and died there. And Skilling served a dozen years.
And if you think all Federal prisons are some cakewalk then you have never seen a federal prison.
Ken Lay would have gone for at least as long as Skilling if he hadn’t dropped dead.

Definitely not a Dookie. He’s still young enough to get out and make something of his same. What a sad sad situation though.

I’m sorry but humanity’s obsession with locking up nonviolent people is disgusting.
I’m all for the restitution and probation.
Wait. You think I should be able to steal other people’s stuff, and if I get caught all I have to do is give it back? So I keep the stuff I steal and don’t get caught, and I return the stuff for which I get caught?
Initiate that system and I’ll have a new lucrative career.

That’s not a crime.

Fraud is a crime. For this I was in the same place as I am on Glen Davis.
You are full of shite. Madoff got 150 years.
Skilling got 24 years, of which he served 12.
The answer to inequitable prison conditions isn’t putting Skilling in a shithole like Angola; it’s reforming the shitholes so that they are run with discipline and respect.

His momma has to be somewhat proud he graduated the family into white collar crime instead of crackhead crime.
I had the pleasure of living a few houses down from a house he was leasing for his mom. I could write a book on some of the bizarre behavior and frequent disturbances that originated from that house. Like the time she left her car running with all the doors open and the music turned up full volume at midnight. Or the full on arguments in the driveway once or twice a month. Or her "boyfriend" who would stand outside and stare you down if he noticed you. Or the time she backed out of her driveway and just blocked the road and wouldn't move....I could go on and on.
Fortunately for everyone she was eventually kicked out and the house sold. But what a nightmare for about a year or so that was.

There are lots of big dudes in prison and not all of them think it's cute and quaint to be called "Big Baby".
No, there's not lots of dudes that big in society much less in prison. There may be a lot of big dudes but not Big Baby big. I'm guessing you have no idea where he got that nickname?

Both Madof and Skilling served their respective sentences in Federal minimum security prisons. If you’ve ever been to one, such as in Pensacola, and also been to Angola you know the vast difference. If pricks like them had been sentenced to Angola, or even a typical Federal maximum security or better yet, a super-max facility, it would definitely make the next round of potential Wall Street felons actually fear the consequences.
