KTTH yesterday announced, without warning, that the 6am host, Bryan Suits, was laid off as well as one of the hosts from left-wing KIRO Radio, with others to follow.

The only remaining local conservative host here is now Jason Rantz. In the last year alone they have gotten rid of Jack Stein, Todd Herman, and now Bryan Suits. I don't consider Medved a conservative so he doesn't count, but his show was pulled off of KTTH as well at the end of last year.

Aside from Rantz, we have Armstrong and Getty (California), Bongino (Florida), Benson (DC), Shapiro (Israel), Knowles (Nashville), and Levin (Ukraine)

Confused by the wording here. They have to do this or want to?

I can't imagine talking about fricking politics for hours on end every single day on the radio. Sounds completely miserable.

Given the announcement by Sinclair and Bonneville, it looks like they had to due to costs and the fact that they are getting killed by streaming and content creators.

Rantz is the only one whose reach is beyond radio at this point.

At some point, if Rush were still alive, he would have gone fully streaming/podcast as well. That is what is killing conservative talk RADIO.

Doubtful. He was a "radio guy" through and through. As someone else alluded, his passing was one of the death knells of the medium. It was going to stay afloat as long as he was at it, though.

There's these things called "podcasts" mate. World class talents like Megyn Kelly put them out for free. They're fantastic and the commercials don't male up 50% of the broadcast

That's not the case with YouTube anymore. Even monetized channels are not allowed to remove ads.
