I like their blond roast and americanos.
But charging $8 for the dessert “coffee” drinks isn’t a winning model. Pumpkin Spice Latte month is only a short time every year

Agreed. Anything besides plain coffee is for soccer moms and fairies.

First off, I hate Starbucks coffee.
Second, it’s overpriced.
Third, they support liberal causes
Fourth, with inflation and the way the economy is now, people are more selective in how they spend any discretionary resources.

To be fair, declining transaction counts are a trend across all food service restaurants. Wendy's, Taco Bell, McDonalds are all reporting fewer transactions y/y in large part due to price increases.
That said, with the exception of their nitro cold brew Starbucks coffees are still trash.

It’s simple, they used to be the only game in town and now the premium coffee market has taken off
Just in my area north of Dallas, I have a Dutch brothers and PJs that are less than a year old and within a block of Starbucks.
Now Tim Hortons is building all over the US as well as Dunkin expanding and there you go.
And I haven’t even mentioned the QT and Racetracks of the world with great coffee setups .

People don’t want to pay $9.50 for a small coffee when a damn 12 pack of soda is $9.99. The cost of groceries is ridiculous. I ain’t wasting money on fancy coffee.

Premium coffee market has been around for years now

The premium side of the coffee market is growing much faster than the total category.

Their dark roast tastes like burnt shite

I actually like this turn from the OT instead of hearing from the snobs who use a French press every day and wouldn't dare drink coffee from a Keurig.

Their drip coffee is mediocre. I am, however, a fan of the blonde espresso.

So I’m fat because I don’t want to waste money on burnt shite coffee and I drink Dr Pepper?

Who is selling a small coffee that costs this much?

The dumbest trope ever is that Starbucks has bad coffee. Just admit you don’t like dark roast.

I got hooked on the nitro cold brew during Covid, will still get one every now and again but I can’t imagine going daily
