Where was this?

What a stupid arse idea.

Just when I thought Indian lakes couldn’t get anymore polluted, some genius comes up with an inventive and expensive way to completely f— it up.

A storm!? At sea!?
Who could have predicted this?

This is pretty on brand for India. Just dumping trash in the ocean.

Trump was right. Build the wall then put panels on top of we desperately need to do this

Sadly the idea came too late to build such a thing. Climate Change has led to more severe storms and now we see the very thing that could save us from Climate Change cannot withstand the storms
We are fricked

I will never understand how they can’t say, hey, what happens if a weather event takes this shite out. What’s next?
Posted on 5/5/24 at 7:23 pm to loogaroo
Didn't even know these existed...
Posted on 5/5/24 at 7:31 pm to loogaroo
Been saying this as they build them in south Mississippi.

Oh no we’re screwed now. Where will we get electricity?

Send John Kerry to the rescue. I’m pretty certain he’d argue that the US must help get this solar farm back up and running pronto or none of us will be able to breathe in the next six months. So, here’s a $20 million dollar gift from the US to get the ball rolling.

You know stuff like green energy would benefit Louisiana. Many plants between BR and Nola are looking to do carbon capture and sequestration. That will only add new jobs on top of the plants themselves already. Louisiana has the best geology in the world in the Miocene formation for CO2 injection. It has Darcy permeability and 40% porosity. The highest porosity possible in rocks is 45% based on a perfect sphere sitting directly on top of another perfect sphere matrix. It's silt basically.
Stuff like Hydrogen, Sustainable Aviation Fuel, all of that is going to be heavily in Louisiana. The largest ports are in South Louisiana which is another reason they would go there for export. Nat gas is abundant in Louisiana which is the base for clean Hydrogen and Ammonia.
Going green is actually economically very beneficial to job creation in Louisiana. Wind and solar isn't really Louisiana's shtick, but nat gas, oil, and carbon injection based projects will benefit Louisiana. Wind and solar has been around for decades. Stuff like Hydrogen, Sustainable Aviation Fuel, and Carbon injection isn't quite here and coming up in a few years.

I can’t wait to see windmills start washing up on the beaches.

They will do nothing to clean up the mess.
