Thanks dude! This is definitely the worst non hurricane related risk area I’ve been in my life. More nervous about making sure my wife and kid are good than anything.

OKC watch area says til midnight. And they say nighttime will not decrease threat. So be aware. I’d have a plan in place since you have a young one.

Aw yea our house has a basement with a bathroom and concrete utility room so we have safe places to go thankfully.

Unfortunately I’m a good ways away from any overpasses so I won’t have that extra bit of security but you win some you lose some.

Anybody here ever been to the National Weather Center at OU? I bet that’s a cool place. Home of the Storm Prediction Center, NWS Norman and The National Severe Storms Laboratory (NSSL).

Looking out the window off of West 91st Street. Suns out, no guns out.

It is no overpass, but I guess it'll do.

I prefer to be inside the tornado. I learned from Twister that if you get into the center of the tornado you’re safe as long as you anchor yourself down. You won’t be impaled by debris.

I’ve driven by it a couple times but never been in. Need to make it a point to go next time I’m in OKC

Next time you watch it pay attention to the binoculars on the dash of Bill's red Dodge. They never move! Even while driving through a cornfield fleeing from a F5 those binoculars hold tight and never move an inch.

I remember when that video came out with the people riding the tornado out under an overpass and for the next decade + it ingrained into the psyche of the American public that, "if you've got an overpass nearby, you're safe."

Which is, as we know, laughably wrong.
