It's become a trend that anytime a tornado of note happens if it doesn't get rated an F5 or sometimes even a F4 morons on Twitter/online go crazy shitting all over the professional experts that do the storm surveys as if they are somehow more qualified to know what the tornado should be rated
It even has crossed into personal attacks on occasion, it's absolutely ridiculous
I posted the other day about my thoughts on what motivates this behavior if you are interested I'll dig it up but in short the media sucks and we are a society of moronic children

why do we waste time and money trying to determine what f a tornado is. i bet the families that lose all belongings or loved ones don’t care. doesn’t really matter to them.

The (E)F scale has done more to advance residential building codes in this country than arguably anything else. That was one of Fujita's driving motivations in developing the scale.
