Best train wreck ever.....

1965 in Boutte Louisiana about 1/2 mile west of the road crossing, a box car train derailed, boxes broke open with free access to local population. A couple box cars had Coca Cola, and a couple were loaded with Puerto Rican rum. A lot of people got supplied really well. Some too well, digging in the debris, higher than a coot, broken bottles caused a run at the local hospital for lacerations.

My grandpa worked for the railroad when this happened. They took home a few bottles of each.
