I got strept throat from the 3 year old and taking a sick day in bed. Decided to start John Adam’s. Great opening theme song and enjoying it so far .
my question is for the history buffs.. how historically accurate is it? I don’t know enough about history to pick out what is fabrication and what is real/accurate.
Also, for those who watched it, which portrayal were you the most impressed with?

Most historically inaccurate part is that John Adams wasn’t actually a real person. Most founding fathers were an early government conspiracy to cover up all the work women did during the revolution to found our country. Just read a great article about this on The Root last week. I had no idea.

Great show, my favorite performance is Stephen Dillane as Thomas Jefferson.

My understanding is that, for the most part, it was fairly accurate. I believe the timeline of some events were condensed, some events simplified, and maybe some individual characters (lesser historically) were a composite of two or more people. For the most part, it's good.

Good luck finishing the series.
I believe I watched 3-4 episodes and lost motivation.
Very well done and Giamatti is great but I found it hard to push through.

Man it’s been the perfect show to fade in and out of when you’re sick and intermittently nodding off
