There is always an ebb an flow, with a general leftward movement for society, but I think having such a symbol to rally against has permitted the left to get 2 leftward cycles in a row, without the typical rightward rection. Clearly they're getting to places that aren't palatable for moderate America, but what the non-Left needs is a cycle without some other rallying point (like Dobbs was in 2022) appearing out of thin air. We would have seen a yuge right-based reaction in 2022 but-for Dobbs.

Yes but only because the people getting rich in DC that don’t want any light shed on them have pushed the paid media into working the sheep into a frenzy. I mean just look how bad the virtue signaling cucks were during a fake pandemic. Hell, they have doctors threatening people to take a death sentence vaccine

None of those crazies hates Trump before he entered politics, most probably tuned in weekly to watch his tv show! It's not Trump they hate, it's what he represents. Who and what does Trump represent? Those of us supporting America first ideas.
Remember Hillary and Biden's opinion of us, deplorable and the biggest threat to America.
The left is an ideology, a religion and they hate anything which opposes them.

I would be content almost worn out by this all personally with just a guy in the just right of center. I really would be good with that currently. Move on from this don’t give them a damn target. Go about this stuff in other ways maybe local government would help us a lot.

Anyone who dared to beat the "chosen one" in 2016 would have caused it. The fact that Trump is the first individual in a very long time who not only gives absolutely no fricks about making the left and mainstream press happy but also throws it in their faces exacerbated it.

I don't think most people realize how radical Obama wanted to be during his term. Remember, they thought Hillary had it in the bag. They didn't expect her to get such backlash and for Trump to be so strong in 2016. The debate where Trump told the world he uses the same tax breaks as every one of the candidate's donors and he knows they won't change shite was the night he set the left's arse on fire.

Trump is a symptom, not a cause. He's just a man of his times.
What is happening is that the infestation of populism continues to grow. More people on both sides are unreasonable and addicted to outlandish conspiracy theories and victimhood narratives.

more populism = more emotionally driven knee jerk responses
