JJ is better in NFL than he was at LSU. Not saying he wasn't great at LSU.
Chase/JJ = Nabers/BT imo
then OBJ/JL third. (but also very much badass)

I used to think OBJ/Jarvis was as good as it could get. Now they are 3rd best. LSU Football has come a long way.
Can’t wait to see the next great duo

3 combos with 3 different QBs.
Would your ranking change if the QBs changed?
All speculation, but how great is it that we can even imagine this.
As an ole timer who grew up with LSU football and Cholly Mac and 3 yards and a cloud of dust, this sometimes seems surreal.

Imagine the numbers Jarvis and Odell would've put up with Burrow or JD...

I'd throw Dwayne Bowe and Buster Davis in the mix too. Buster Davis didn't do shite in the NFL but both Bowe and Davis were first round draft picks.

Not only 3 different QBs but also 3 different offensive systems.

I don’t believe they’re top 3, but yeah Bowe/Davis & Josh Reed/Michael Clayton are definitely in the conversation.

Probably still not close to what the other two duos put up

I can agree with this. I think all three could make an argument that they should be top, especially when factoring in QB play (Jarvis & OBJ didn't have Heisman QBs and played in stagnant offense).

I wouldn't be so sure.
The only season in the post 2009 Miles era LSU came close to replicating the 2019 and 2023 seasons in terms of passing was the 2013 season
In 2013 LSU QB's attempted 325 passes. For context, Daniels attempted 327 passes this season (LSU attempted 407 total).
In 2013
Landry had 77 receptions for 1193 yards and 10 TDs
Beckham had 59 receptions for 1152 yards and 8 TDs
In 2023
Nabers had 89 receptions for 1569 and 14 TDs
Thomas had 68 catches for 1177 and 17 TDs
Nabers/Thomas had better stats. But also had the benefit of more passing attempts and a better QB.
From a pure ability standpoint I think you could make a strong argument OBJ/Landry were just as good as Nabers/Thomas. Maybe better. Unfortunately, they played in an era with a HC who was reluctant to rely on the passing game.

josh reed and michael clayton
michael clayton and devery henderson
wendell davis and rogie mcgee
brandon lafell and early doucet
dwayne bowe and craig "buster" davis
just some others to think about over the years.

All three of the combos were outstanding, of course.
However, the numbers don't lie:
Combined receptions in a single season - 195 (vs 157)
Combined receiving yards in a single season - 3320 (vs 2746)
Combined receiving TDs in a single season - 39 (vs 31)
To be fair, OBJ and Juice suffer from not having a Heisman throwing to them, but that just is what it is.
The heck of it is, Marshall as the #3 puts 2019 into an unreachable/incomparable category, IMHO.
