I think the issue in this case is that they were not told before hand AND in Europe (where this vaccine was used) they were essentially forced to get it.
You can read the insert regarding Tylenol’s side effects and choose not to take it.
AstraZeneca wasn’t used in the US, as far as I am aware.

Its use was suspended almost immediately for this reason.
