French actor Gérard Depardieu is in custody over allegations of sexual assault, according to media reports.
The 75-year-old actor was summoned to a Paris police station for questioning on Monday morning, broadcaster BFMTV said.
He is being questioned over two separate allegations brought by two women who worked with Depardieu on film sets in 2014 and 2021.

A woman involved in the 2021 incident alleges the assault took place on the set of the film The Green Shutters, which was released the following year.
Her lawyer told BFMTV that her client was "passing through a corridor where Mr Depardieu was sitting."
"He grabbed her, trapped her between his legs and touched her body up to her breasts.

There have been rumors like these about him for YEARS. Surprised it took this long.

Thank you for not posting a current picture of him. By now he must have a gnarled nose the size of a baguette.

For whatever reason literally the only thing I can tell you that Gerard Depardieu starred in was My Father, the Hero, and that's only because I so vividly remember the trailers for it.

He’s French…and an actor… they’re collectively some of the creepiest creeps around.

Hard for me to imagine a 65 year old man doing that. Must be the little blue pills.

Whatever the Jean Luc Brunel version of Epstein Island was, I'm willing to bet that Depardieu visited it.

This would have been my response about a year ago until I randomly watched a movie on a Delta flight called Umami that I thought was pretty good. French chef goes to Japan in search of the umami flavor that he remembers from his past. I really enjoyed it.
The dude seems like an angry creep, though, so this story doesn't surprise me.

Yeah surprised he was arrested n the world of laissez-faire French culture. Especially on this topic.
This is a country where Prime Ministers openly have had mistresses and nobody bats an eye.
C’est la vie.

I used to date the daughter of a French chef in Nola. All his old friends openly creeped on his daughter, no fricks given. The French are brazen, but we already knew this.

Depardieu keeps getting passes for his transgressions by the French Courts. It's been known for some time that even by French standards he's a world class creep..
Depardieu like DeNiro as well as Connery is the one of those actors that no matter what role he plays, he's Gerard Depardieu.
