Figured they would be itching for a 3 day weekend.

And heavy stuff at morning dropoff time

Calcasieu has major issues. Like shell shocked issues.

Whatever happened in Laura and Delta effectively scrambled the entire region's eggs to the point that government can't operate if it rains.

I never seen a school system close so often. You know how hard it was to shut down school growing up?

These people have no spine.

I moved my kids to a daycare that doesnt follow Calcasieu school system closures because it was so bad. They close for everything.

I think this one is because they didn't close for the last round of bad weather and they got pummeled.

They know they can only pull that stunt a limited number of times before the gig is up completely.

Either that, or they know another cancellation will result in makeup classes extended into the week after Memorial Day and they have already booked their summer vacation plans.

Yeah, thinking they might be out of weather days for the year

This is absolutely true and the only reason it’s closed this time. 100mph winds while kids were on the buses or waiting on them.

The last round of school cancellations was legit. And the few schools that remained open on the Coast got slammed by parents. So the schools are damned either way.

I mean you do realize what happened in Calcasieu a couple weeks ago? Busses getting caught in 100 mph winds. This has nothing to do with hurricanes from 4 years ago.

That’s weird, we already had our rough weather. I don’t think we expect any more.

Power is out at Shreve for sure, and I’m sure they aren’t the only ones. I’d rather them call it now then drag it out until early tomorrow morning

Absolute negligence to open schools today. Especially with all the tornadoes over the weekend. It looks like midnight out here.
