Was thinking about going to see it today. Couldn’t find a thread on it. Anyone checked it out yet ?

It's getting really good reviews

I enjoyed the hell out of it. It’s very gory but it doesn’t take itself too seriously. Dan Stevens and Melissa Barrera are great and Alisha Weir is a marvel as Abigail. The setting, colors, and mix of humor and often horribly gory violence reminded me of Ready or Not.

Fun horror/black comedy. Enjoyable if forgettable

Isn't this the Ransom of Red Chief...with vampires?

Just saw it tonight. Really solid flick. Definitely worth a watch, if not multiple. Like someone else said incredibly gory but doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Abigail and Let Me In, back-to-back, would make a great young girl vampire movie night.

Those are my favorite kinds of horror films.

Watched this last night on Peacock and enjoyed it. I needed a turn your brain off vampire movie more than I realized.

I just wish they'd been able to save the reveal about Abigail for the movie itself and not spoil it in the trailers.

Entertaining movie, like everyone else said. One of Angus Cloud's last movies before he died.
For some odd reason I really like Kevin Durand as an actor. He's been in a lot movies but he's finger snap famous. You know when you see an actor you recognize and snap your fingers trying to see where you know them from.

It would've been pretty tough to hide that in a trailer. The big reveal at the end as to who her father is was well done. Although they never explicitly stated who Kristof Lazar is really supposed to be, the director confirmed it after the film was released.

We said the same thing, when we watched this. If you haven't seen The Strain series with him, I recommend it.
As for Abigail I liked it, until the reveal at the end. Not sure why just kind of seemed forced maybe. Not bad at all though.

Had a friend recommend it just saying it's a cool vampire flick. I had never seen a trailer, but I can't imagine hiding it very well if they tried.

I liked Abigail. Rented it twice
