-Tommy White had his worst weekend of the year.
-Bingham has been on an absolute nosedive at the plate.
-Kling doubled his hit total for SEC play and had a few hard hit outs. Good sign.
-Larson is a stud.
-There is no reason for Neal to continue getting reps over Milazzo.
-Jones was .500 on the weekend in OBP. Drew some walks. Didn't strike out as many times as he had been.
-Travinski hit the ball twice and they both left the park. Didn't do much else.
-Milam's numbers don't look great, but he didn't strike out in 14 ABs. Putting ball in play and headed in right direction.
-Braswell continues to be reliable and consistent at the plate, while consistently costing us in the field at some point every weekend.

I wonder if Larson can handle the lead-off spot. He has a high OBS, which is what you want early. But he can also hit, which is important since that lead-off spot statistically sees more at-bats than any other slot.

Would be great if Kling continues seeing the ball well like he has in the lead off. Honestly, would be nice to get Mac back to hitting well.

4/12 = .333 not .222

If Braswell needs to be at 3B/OF next year.

Thanks. Missed that typo

Expected more from Pearson. Really needed him to be a consistent batter this year with his experience.

He got on 3 of 6 times this weekend with a HR.

Jones had two homers this weekend against mizzou and six total in SEC play. I’m sure there are more errors but I quit looking after that.

I would much rather see Larson in the lead off spot. He really works the count and fouls off pitches. Glad to see Kling coming around, but there is still a lot of swing and miss. I would rather see him 6-8th in the lineup.

By far, the biggest unexplainable, WTF thing here is Neal playing over Milazzo.

Over their last 12 games:
Brady Neal .240/.424/.600
Alex Milazzo .173/.321/.173

12 games is not a fair assessment when you’ve played 40. Do the other 28 now.

Think you wont find a clearcut answer to who is a better hitter using 40 game samples either. Milazzo has a higher ba and obp, neal has a better slugging and ops.
And why shouldnt recent success be a fair assessment when trying to set a lineup? Should we only use season long metrics?

If a player hits .400 the first part of the schedule & .170 more recently, you don’t exactly have the same guy huh

Crazy how Kling, Neal, Bingham and Pearson have torpedoed this season. Kling is showing a little life at least and Neal had the HR. But their season struggles have killed this team.

Why didn’t you include Bingham’s HRs in his stats? You included everyone else’s. He has 5 HRs in SEC play.

Bingham hasn’t torpedoed this season. Not sure how you pulled that out of your arse. He was hitting .300 until he went into a mini slump the last 5 games.

Neal is not the defensive catcher as Milazzo. Both players needs to hit in the open areas during the shift and not pull everything
