Point is yall ran the same dam team back out there that finished last a year ago sans Sonny Gray & somehow that projects to win the NLC?
The bullpen was upgraded. The starting pitching staff, outside of Gray wasn't upgraded but the production was consolidated. With Lynn and Gibson they acquired the same amount of innings for the same amount of money as they lost, but in two guys instead of 4.
I still don't understand why Matt Carpenter and Brandon Crawford are on the team.
We have a rotation with an average age of about 35. Any day any one of them could blow up for 7 runs in an inning. But they're all performing above expectations, IMO. (Because expectations were extremely low for them)
Jordan Walker just got sent down to AAA, but I think he needs to be on the IL more than he needs to be in the minors. He was raking in Spring then hurt himself and hasn't been the same since.
We need Edman back so that Siani can be fired off into the sun. He's absolute garbage.

Any good pitching prospects in Memphis that they could call up?

Back to back series wins, 4 of last 5. Bullpen continues to be lethal, 6 inning games right now.

they have an old, stingy owner, who counts his stacks of cash
they also have a horrendous POBO, who put his shill into GM position, and they hired a yes man to fill the lineup out.
they don't like when you dont play the big contracts over guys actually hitting
Mo'ron has killed the team with bad moves, and bad non moves.

I bet my Father last night $100, they don't make the playoffs, which means they have to win the central, they wont sniff a wild card.

Top 10 payroll in baseball and one of the highest paid rotations in baseball as well.
The problem isn’t paying players. They hand out bad contracts added to the fact that they cannot develop young talent. The last homegrown starting pitcher they’ve had with success is who? Matt Morris?

owner said they would spend more than last season, make a splash. then they came back and said, nah, were good at this x amount.
It's great finally seeing cardinal fans tell the team to frick off. the fans were shills who pay a lot of cash to go and see a bad product.
When team plays like this, i get lower box seats for pennies on the dollar, i dont mind.
never root aginst my fav teams, they will take care of losing themselves.

I hope it doesn’t affect Marmol’s standing with the team. He’s a great manager.
No he’s not. He’s a yes man bitch boy with an inferiority complex who is a dog shite leader of men who should be tossed out on his arse when Needle Dick Moe and senile Dewitt are gone.

Tough loss today. At least we won the series. That’s two series wins in a row now.

I was excited at the fact that the six were coming into town... Thinking the cards could put some distance from the pirates and move out of the central cellar. Then I saw the pirates were hosting the Rockies.... Then the cards lose a series to a team that won 6 games in 5 weeks and the pirates won their series

Awful baseball for the cardinals this weekend

How can anyone look at the objective offensive numbers and rationalize not making any changes to the coaching staff?

They’re almost last in MLB in team OPS
Sonny Gray has been the only bright spot this season

Who would've thought that the SLU Billikens would have the best baseball team in the metro in 2024

Did Mikolas try to fight…wait, he just gave another run…the whole team again like the last time Willson got hit on accident?

Goldschmidt went 0-5 tonight. He’s currently batting .195
