She also gets a signature shoe which I’m sure will lead to even more $$$
So will this shut people up about her small salary in the WNBA?

It was always known she would make a ton more $$ through endorsements. WNBA salary is just peanuts for her.
Just a decade ago such a mega contract for a WNBA/ wbb star was pretty much unthinkable. College WBB has truly arrived and WNBA should be thanking the schools for the eyeballs they are getting only because these incoming players.

She making bank. The other fine ladies of the WNBA are going to be very happy for her.

People have been saying the whole time women’s basketball players would make money when they generate money. Caitlin Clark generates revenue, hence she makes a lot of money.
I for one am glad that a woman is moving the needle of interest based on her playing ability rather than either out of charity or solely her appearance.

Who is the market for basketball shoes? Young black men….man they’re not gonna buy this stuff. It’s a virtue signal deal…not that different than the one they did for kaepernick.
Nike will lose money on this but they don’t care

Man, Midwest girls don’t watch basketball and don’t buy basketball shoes. stop the nonsense

Have you not seen the hysteria surrounding CC? Every little white girl in suburbia is gonna want to be the next Caitlyn and mama and daddy will buy those shoes.

Ionescu’s shoe, which is the only real comparison, has done well enough for Nike to make a Clark shoe. I went to enough of my sister’s basketball games as a kid to see that there is/was an untapped demand for smaller and lighter shoes.

Are people still going to care about Clark now that she’s playing for the Indiana Fever?

Ok then show the demographic breakdown (age, gender, race) of the viewership stats for basketball in that area

You must not be familiar with Golden Goose shoes, $200 is a bargain compared to them

Young Midwest girls aren’t watching basketball on TV (other than CC).
They are however playing basketball all the time and will absolutely buy this shoe

This is why when everyone was saying she would be an idiot to turn the $5mil from the Big 3, I was arguing she'll make plenty of millions to the point that the extra $5mil won't be worth the embarrassment of getting destroyed in the Big 3 compared to dominating the WNBA.
