Good for Clark.

However, despite talk of growth in terms of percentage, the WNBA isn’t widely watched. I think automatic assumptions that Clark will bring a ton of new, sustainable viewership could be wrong.

This wouldn’t be the first Nike contract given to an athlete/personailty.

Nike got a steal. There are millions of girls in jr high and high school that will throw down for this shoe and they’ll even get the occasional beta boy.

Tons of men wear that Sabrina shoe. It is the closest thing to a Kobe that has been made recently.

This is when everyone was saying she would be an idiot to turn the 5mil from the Big 3, I was arguing she'll make plenty of millions to the point that the extra $5mil won't be worth the embarrassment of getting destroyed in the Big 3 compared to dominating the WNBA.
I still wish she would have taken the 5mil and played in the Big 3 because it would have been fun to see her jacking up 3s all of the time from long range. She wouldn't have been able to get off any type of shot playing close to the goal or even driving to the goal. Those guys are just too tall and big for her to do anything inside of 30 feet, so, she would have to catch passes off of screens designed to free her up, and then just let it fly. If she would hit some and got on a hot streak, people would have been going nuts with all of the buzz going on in cheering her on. LoL

She is smart to go into that league because it will diminish her brand. They also use a men’s ball which is a lot harder to shoot.

Yes.

Her first televised WNBA game will set records.

Ok. And what about the next game? And the rest of the season? I don't see how she's a long term brand name
