Are they scoring harshly or are we messing up?
Both, not our best and bad landings...
Schoenherr just got a 9.9 though with kiya and haliegh left.

We’re messing up

No sticks
Yeah, that was unfortunate. We're going to have push it on the other rotations.

Not one stick!!
I said at regionals it was an issue. Pathetic that it hasn’t been fixed. Vault team has regressed.

Our highest on vault was a 9.9. We need to nail the rest of the events.

Well probably be in 2nd behind Cal after 1 rotation.

LSU should still move onto tomorrow if they don’t self implode but they won’t have a shot at winning it all unless they stick landings across the board.

Our mistakes were all aggressive. I don’t mind that one bit. They still did decently. Arkansas already took themselves out without errors from others. I’m hoping to see some stuck dismounts on bars.

They said the beam is up on a podium and it’s not as stable as usual.
Arkansas had a bunch of bad wobbles on the beam. I hope that was more their performance and not an issue with the apparatus

floor seems to be getting generously judged, so if we stay close through the first 3 rotations we should be able to put up big numbers.

Also, floor scoring was definitely the loosest. That bodes really well for us going into floor in the final rotation. The last Cal gymnast had a slide back on her final pass and still had more than half the judges give her a 9.95
Edit: did anyone think Bryant’s vault should have been a little higher? More like 9.925? I know she had the hop but it was still a better vault than Sav, IMO.

Bryant had a full tenth hop. judging was fair.
Just do the normal stuff and stay on the equipment, and they will advance to the final 4 easily. Arkansas and Stanford aren't getting grossly inflated mystery judging like they were at regionals.
We are essentially just competing against Stanford now. Finish top 2 is all that matters. Session one girls likely wont win any titles because scoring is historically more loose in session 2, anyways.

I thought so also.

Agree!

Yes. I don’t know what a 10 would look like on vault with those judges. Haleigh barely hopped and lost a 10th of a point.

I think Chase tried to over correct on her vault. She landed short a lot at Regionals in warmups.

I would actually like for them to come in 2nd today so we start on beam Saturday. Don’t want to start on floor and follow directly behind Oklahoma. Plus they looked really good when they did that rotation in regionals.

Go to ESPN plus and watch the bars and floor screen.

Which is bullshite. Haleigh probably won’t win AA simply because of this Nevermind that she’s been #1 in AA all season.
