Can Jose Abreu enter the transfer portal?

Pitching looked solid for 8 innings last night ( Hader). Will most likely be the complete opposite with Hunter Brown (0-2 16.43 ERA) on the mound tonight

Losing back to back games against Darius Vines and Reynaldo Lopez would not be a good look, just saying

He shouldn't play everyday as a punishment for sucking. Get Yanier more time at 1B. Play Singleton more because he can't be any worse and at least there's a possibility of him lucking into a hit streak. Abreu just seems done. Based on his numbers you would have never guessed he'd fall off a cliff like he has.
I'm sure Bagwell and Co. Saw him as a little younger Yuli or Nelson Cruz. Who knew his back would disintegrate over 1 offseason.

The best bet is Braves run line but with my luck, Hunter Brown will morph into prime Pedro Martinez for two hours.
This pitching will run them out of contention before the end of May

Meh Royals swept the Astros outscoring them 28-8 so losing to one of the best teams in the NL really isn't that big of a deal at this point

Since Layne Staley is apparently alive and well, can he go back to Alice in Chains instead of stealing millions and millions pretending to be a closer from the team I love?

Our bigs on offense have to have big nights at the plates, plain and simple. Altuve is doing his part but Tuck and Jordan having oofers want get a win. And Hader aint making me very happy either.

Hader should be forced to be the bullpen catcher for a couple weeks.
And make him clean all the nacho cheese containers after the home games.

Maybe at some point, Jim Crane will realize he’s not a GM and that no one likes a George Steinbrenner impersonator. Only silver lining to these moves that keep blowing up in his face.

I know quite a few fans who never truly appreciated how good Pressly was as the closer. Yeah, I know we had to send him the occasional bag of dicks to get his mind back right, but that could be done for any closer at some point.
On the vast majority of nights, Pressly would go out and get the job done. And sometimes you don't realize how consistent he was until you see the ugly side that Hader has brought.

Jim Crane thinks he was the magic sauce behind this era, not Luhnow

Reynaldo has been our best SP so far through 2 starts so I wouldn't lump him into that just yet.

Would love to see Yainer and Caratini with more time at 1B, but I know thats not happening. They can't be that much shittier defensively.
Singleton is only good for begging for walks. He hits monster shots in BP but his contact in game looks more like Myles Straw.

It was good seeing Spaghetti turn it around even when he got into some bad situations. Had to be a confidence builder to get a couple Ks against Acuna, Jr.
Bag o' Dicks to Hader and all our guys who cannot hit with RISP!

Still...not worse than Abreu.

Bagwell after we win the world series, "We steered too much towards analytics, we need more baseball minds"
Bagwell on Abreu, "he'll fix it, look at the back of the baseball card."
Crane, Bagwell and Dusty have managed to ruin everything Luhnow and Click built in shockingly quick fashion.
frick 'em

Astros called up Forrest Whitley
quote:
The Astros are calling up pitching prospect Forrest Whitley, the #17 pick in the 2016 draft.
He last pitched for the Space Cowboys on April 13th and was hitting close to 98 MPH with his fastball.
He is already on the 40-man roster so a player will just need to be optioned
