It went flacid mighty quick didn’t it. Just goes to show you. I don’t know what but surely it shows you something. Oh I got it, I think it shows the very unfortunate and harmful trend in our society of folks not thinking the whole way through all matters and situations. More and more folks are by default arr skipping straight to the most extreme conclusions they can possibly muster. Anything and everything is either stark white or Kenyan black. No grey whatsoever. The missiles were on their way and Israel was imminently going to be annihilated. And the survivors were to come out of their bunkers and annihilate Iran come daybreak. WWIII and IV at the same time.
But I immediately recognized some a number of alternative possibilities right in that grey area sweet spot. First and foremost, at this moment, very reasonable considerations are that Israel would likely imperil itself greatly by spreading themselves fatally thin by escalating their already tough road with the Hamas operations to now include a completely unpredictable full on front with Iran. Hell it’s being said that Israel is approaching a concerning ammo shortage as is for crying out loud. Their troubles are multiplied greatly by haters on the world stage, like Biden.
Then on Iran’s side, no doubt they anticipate a reasonably possible outcome that they cease to exist as a regime.
Oh, and Iran’s threats of retaliation against American bases, let me tell you what that looks like: yes popping off a bunch of missiles, however aiming them away from anything that could result in what the missiles are actually meant for
Whew. Let me hop off this soapbox and slip into something a little more comfortable.

Iran is just trying to save face. Media making way bigger deal out of this than what it is.

That's what it looks like. Hezbollah has better tech than these Temu-quality drones. Better tech that they presumably got from Iran. Iran's choice to softball the attack seems to show that they aren't looking for massive escalation. An attack is still an attack though, Israel has every right to respond.

Just woke up and don't feel like scouring the entire internet for the answer, but did a single Iranian drone or missile make it to Israel and cause damage last night?
Posted on 4/14/24 at 7:41 am to Tantal
Yes. Some minor damage occurred at a base

They were broadcasting on TV the launch of the drones/missiles, they did this to save face. Hopefully it will just go away now

Edit to add this poster wants Israel to surrender.
And what would happen to the Israeli people? Would they be allowed to leave peacefully or would they all have their throats cut?
I ain't no fan of the jooooos but I hate moooooslims worse.
Joooos would probably let me live, those other fuks would kill me in the most horrific way.

Has Israel fired back to Iran yet? Looks like no? What’s the word on that yet?

No, I believe their war cabinet just met though.

Yeah, I remember when this guy was shooting at me with his 45. He shot six times, missing each time. Then he said, "It's over'.
Or when the german youth in WWII would ambush the American tanker column with their version of the bazooka, blow up a tank and then throw up their arms to surrender, essentially saying, "Its over!"
No, it ain't.

Don't know, that is why I myself is looking for information.

Look no further than common sense, as if escalation could in any way ultimately be common 'sensical'.
Israel will have to respond, lest they show that their policy will be run by those who are not in the sights of Islamist aggression and their pledge to destroy the State of Israel. The Iranians have essentially probed Israeli logistical defenses, and all they need is to remain in power until their nuclear capabilities are sufficient to destroy Israel. One would assume that the MAD narrative (Mutually Assured Destruction) is operable, but given the fanaticism of 'martyrdom' of Islamist/'Madhi" ideology/theology, that is off the table.

what would be really fascinating is if one of Iran’s drones crashed into the Dome of the Rock and destroyed it. Do you think Israel would rebuild Solomon’s temple on the site? There is video of several Iranian drones falling near the Dome after getting hit by defenses

At this time in the morning?
They need to be drunk and smoking briskets like me. See if we would all just BBQ and drink beer we would not have time to start wars.
Fixed it for everyone.
