Having two local police departments, ATF and DHS knock on my door.

We had secret service knock on our door once, during the BR serial killer saga. Called the police and reported the plate number only to be told it was a personal plate.

Come to find out it was in fact the secret service because our neighbor who was a deputy applied for a job with them and they were doing a background check on him.

Got shot while on vacation :(

What's the story here?

Another one for me, I witnessed a gangland style execution while on vacation when I was 11 or 12.

Sailed in the Bermuda triangle on Friday the 13th and lived to tell the tale.

1. My street was hit by a pretty powerful tornado 8 years ago.

2. 1980 something I won a stuffed Snoopy from a fun sized Snickers bar.
I opened the wrapper and it said “Congratulations you are a winner “
We had no idea what exactly I had won. Sent the wrapper in and got a stuffed Snoopy in the mail months later.

Two averted landings because a plane pulled onto the runway while we were touching down. L 1011 and then DC 10. The l011 had awing tip touch the ground as he was doing all he could do to miss the other plane one in Chicago and one in Dallas. Was landing in Memphis one night in a Bonanza and when we were about 50 yards from touchdown a private jet flew over us and landed in front of us. He jigged up just as he came over us. I was in co-pilot seat and swore I could read the tire brand on his wheels he was so close above us. DC8 hit a goose taking off from St Louis to go to Springfield, MO. Flew on to Springfield. Made a hole in the fiberglass radar nose cone big enough to stick your head in. Goose guts all the way down the side of the plane. Hit a downdraft between Cincinnati and Atlanta one night. Plane fell for almost a minute before they got it straight. Crap went from floor and hit ceiling, including a few people.

I still fly whenever I need to get somewhere that drive would be lengthy.

Being on the losing end of the 4th and 19 Ole Miss / Arkansas game and then the Minneaolis Miracle within 3 months of each other - both over $10k swings.

Still can't watch a highlight of either without having my stomach drop

Although not exactly common, birds do that sometimes.

Was doing a site survey with a vendor outside, he looked up and a bird shite directly on his face including some going into his mouth. Seems pretty unlucky.
