Scottie one of the greatest but super boring. Disappointing final round

quote:and? If Scottie doesn't have 6 birdies right now, he's up 1 and in the bunker on 18. He played well and earned this 3 stroke lead. Aberg applied pressure and Scottie stepped on the gas. That's great golf.
And none of them were in striking distance when the day started. I mean Fleetwood printed money today off people going backwards.
We've had majors where the leader shoots par or worse, and everyone else sucks and the leader holds on. That sucks. That didn't happen today.

Did you say this when Rahm won last year too?

Except he wasn’t on LIV when he won it
Also I mean, it’s funded by actual terrorists so it’s a little bigger than golf. It’s bizarre to support it.

Damn solid tournament for Aberg

As the PGA Tour is negotiating a deal with PIF

Tiger and Vijay next to each other at the bottom of the leaderboard. If you turn it upside down it’s 2004.

Aberg was pretty dang good. Just ran into great today.

Little too much time on Aberg and not enough on Scheffler here.

Aberg is going to be around for a long time

Collin spraying it off the tee.

It's rare I could claim this, but I'm 99% positive I could get up and down and down and down and down from there.

Would be so dope and unprecedented if Scottie Woods just dips tf out of Augusta without doing the dinner and the media shite with the very acceptable excuse of witnessing the birth of his first child.

How long do we think Schefflers footwork is gonna hold up after say 30 or 35?
This is a good point. And I really like Scottie, so I hope he keeps winning. But somebody mentioned he was in Speech/Rory territory now. And I agree. But he's about to have his 1st kid. And it seems those 2 fell off a bit when they got married/had kids and their priorities changed a bit. It happens to a lot of great golfers--that's partly why so many are better in their 20s--they make a ton of bank, have a family, and don't have the same drive to get up at 6 and hit a few hundred balls all day every day.
Scottie may be more vulnerable to that because of his footwork. I'm not sure how much he can back off preparation-wise and still be able to strike the ball like he does. But I don't know enough about the golf swing to be able to say that with any authority.
And I don't know enough about Scottie to know what drives him, how much he cares about legacy, about being one of the all-time greats. Because he's certainly on that trajectory. But there's been more than a handful of those the past decade or so, and none have really ascended into the next tier. Brooks, I guess, is the closest.

They've literally shown every single shot Scheffler has taken today and a few of him drinking water and eating a sammich. What more do you want? And now they are showing him walking.
I swear.... people will complain about literally anything.
