As predicted, the 2025 4Runner shares its platform with the new Tacoma pickup truck and comes standard with the same turbocharged four-cylinder powertrain that makes 278 horsepower. A hybrid model with 326 horsepower is also offered, but we review that model separately. Toyota has retained the customary roll-down rear window, and the new 4Runner's exterior design remains square-jawed, handsome, and rugged. The rest of the package has been thoroughly updated, too, and optional tech features include a 14.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, a head-up display, a 12.3-inch digital gauge display, and a wireless smartphone charging pad.
The maximum towing capacity for the 2025 Toyota 4Runner is 6000 pounds, a robust figure compared to many of its competitors. That represents a 1000-pound improvement over the previous-generation 4Runner and is more than the Jeep Wrangler's maximum.

I like it but I’d rather have the new Lexus coming out.

Y’all keep buying these expensive cars so us rich folks can buy your foreclosed homes while driving our 2007 ford 150

What's my payment gonna be on this?

Man I’m pissed at Toyota. I thought the 4th gen hybrid Tacoma was going to be available by now. Here we are a year after they revealed it and it’s not even on the horizon. All trim levels are currently available except the hybrids(TRD Pro/Trail Hunter). The 4 Runner will probably be the same way.

Youre gonna pay out the arse for that thing. Dealers know people will pay well above MSRP because they will want to be first to have it.
ETA. Im gonna have to steal a few more F250 lights to be able to afford it.

I got a brand new 2021 SR5 Premium 4WD for $36,500. Ready for the sticker shock

Going to be interesting to see where they price it at. They brought the Land Cruiser down to start at $55k. Wouldn’t make much sense to have the 4Runner competing with the Land Cruiser but we will see

Nope... Not with that powertrain
4 cylinder turbo hybrid triple whammy... 8hp more than the wood burning stove Reliable V6 that debuted in 2010
Will not be nearly as reliable as 5th Gen, especially replacing turbo @ 150K miles

Well damn I thought you were posting the all new 2025.

That thing looks like an updated gen 2. I like it.

Alright... that's fricking sweet.

I think the 4cyl turbo is going to be a problem. If I found a bag of money on the street, I don't think I'd buy one of these...not with that turbo.

Need a truck and something that can tow more than a golf cart.
No thanks. May get one for the wife tho.

Is it me or are those back passenger doors to small/narrow? Gonna be hell getting in and out for an adult. Wonder what the leg room for the back seats is like.

I would have spent 2k more on a trd offroad. They were 38500 when I looked at em in 2021
Posted on 4/10/24 at 5:26 am to rickgrimes
I’ll stick to my 5th gen
