I thought you meant potato chips. I am disappointed.

??? lol I wont argue with you on this on a message board.
Your only retort seems to be "I know more about it than you" which is incredibly endearing and not at all smug.

Did Trump have a plan to restructure the tax incentives to ensure domestic content? Thats a legit question. I hadn't heard about him predicating many of the investment tax incentives on domestic content.
I don't think he had anything that specified percentages of domestic content but pre-COVID the manufacturing jobs were coming back even after someone said you would need a "magic wand."

It's a huge deal here in the Phoenix-area and the first facility is massive. During construction one day I counted 22 cranes in operation.

Because Im not going to argue with someone who knows jack about all we've had to done to ensure chips are built here, TSMC, ASML, NVIDIA and AMD will build chips here because we've made that possible, stuff we weren't doing 2016-2020.

you have no clue, what we've done in the past 12 months to ensure the most advanced technology will be built in the USA is the real story
Enforced DEI initiatives for the companies building the facilities? Another poster a few weeks ago posted this is the reason other companies like Samsung & Intel are delaying their expansions.

No they're not, Intel & Microsoft are building chips right here in the USA

The first, which is also in Arizona and was announced in 2020 under the Trump administration, will begin production next year.
Did you miss this?

Yes, intel & Samsung have been building chips in US for decades.
Their new facilities being built in TX & Ohio though have been delayed

I am all for bringing manufacturing jobs back to the United States, the service-based economy sort of sucks.

Check the stock purchases of Congress. I bet they are chip heavy.

1) TSMC isn't "moving operations" to Arizona - they're building one additional manufacturing plant there by 2030 which is being enabled by government subsidies and tax breaks.
2) TSMC's 2nm node is cutting edge now...but it won't be by 2030. All of the best node fabrication tech will still be located in various plants in mainland Taiwan.
