On the iphone app select camera-from there you can take a pic or upload it. I suggest taking a pic and uploading it yourself. Select the language you believe it is and have it translated to English.

Download the Google Translate app
In the app there is a "Camera" button on the lower right
Hover the camera or take a pic of the text you want to translate
Of all things I've used it for the most common thing is to read the functions on a washer/dryer both in Greece and France
