Few days late so I’ll go ahead and start April’s thread.
The Spurs are playing everyone close right now. It appears that Wemby was somehow under hyped, this dude is going to own the league. 9 blocks is just insane

That kids already averaging 3.5 blocks per game in the NBA in his rookie year. That would put him at the top of this list. Pretty amazing
NBA & ABA Career Leaders and Records for Blocks Per Game
ETA not to mention avg a 20-10 double double

He's the closest thing to a cheat code i've ever seen. If he doesn't get injured he's got top 5 all-time potential.

It seems that every team in the 7-10 range in the west is playing really good basketball right now.
I would be surprised if we stay out of the PIT

He had 23 points, 15 rebounds, 8 assists, and 9 blocks. That’s probably as close to a quadruple double as we have seen in a long time. The fact that he’s having these type of games frequently is worrisome. He’s already unstoppable, too big and too skilled

Paul George was asked what the team can do to help Jim Harden get out of his slump: "I don't know, I'm not the coach, next question"

Denver is starting off great. Need them to beat clippers.

I like the answer. The media is fricking dumb.

Remember a couple of games ago when Zion jumped and the defender put his hand on Zion. Foul was called, challenged then it was overturned because the hand on Zion was deemed incidental?
Mavs game now, same thing just happened but the hand touch ws much less than the one on Zion and the dude wasn't in the air. Challenged, and ruled a foul
Make it make sense!

Aaaand the Rockets missed 3 straight free throws and then didn't foul and let Exum drain a 3 at the buzzer to send it to OT.

Jaxson Hayes playing pretty well at PF. They can’t abuse him on D with AD lurking behind

AD out against the TWolves after a shot to the eye. His status is now in question for the Lakers next huge game against the Warriors.

Who do you guys think should(not will) win DPOY? Or let me reword, who do you think should get 2nd behind Herb Jones
Gimme Wemby.
The talking point I hear from Gobert is he's the best defensive player on the best defense, which is true and impressive but...
When Gobert is ON the court, the Wolves are the equivalent of #1 defense in the NBA. When Gobert is OFF the court, the Wolves are still the equivalent of #1 defense in the NBA.
When Wemby is ON the court, the Spurs are the equivalent of #5 defense in the NBA. When Wemby OFF the court, the Spurs are the equivalent of #28 defense in the NBA.

Assuming Pelicans beat the Blazers tonight...the Lakers/Warriors game is interesting, and no really bad outcome for the Pelicans. If Lakers somehow win the Warriors will end up in the 10th seed and probably mail in the rest of the regular season to get ready for the play-in. That would be good for the Pelicans on Friday night. But also means that Lakers are still in play for the 8th seed if the Pelicans (or Kings) stumble.
If Warriors win, they are only 1/2 game behind the Lakers for 9th and have the tie-breaker. They definitely go all out against Blazers, Pelicans and Jazz to try and get the 9th seed.
So maybe/probably best for Pelicans if Lakers win tonight (if Pelicans also beat the Kings that guarantees the opponents in the last 2 games have no way to catch the Pelicans).
