That's what we said... he still believes in Santa.

SIL is like "we want him to enjoy this as long as he can"

told her she can GTFO if she wants us to play along like puppets

You know what a rotten, miserable place this world can be.

The world will rob as much magic from them as it can. You don't have to be part of that.

And look...somewhere deep down, they know. But mine are in 6th grade and Santa still comes, with a wink and a smile.

I still believe in Santa. Because I believe in me.

Don't take pride in being rotten to kids. That's what storybook villains do

Which is a really sweet thought....until your friends start making fun of you. 5th grade me and my buddies were already cursing pretty regularly and def not believing in the Easter bunny....these days I'd image its more accelerated.

I’m sure the OT has ruined more kids feelings when it comes to Santa and the bunny

Not gonna comment on a 5th grade still believing, but you sound like a giant a-hole.

Why not just apologize and say you didn’t realize the kid still believed. Problem solved and if SIL still makes an issue of it then she’s the bitch not you.

Well you probably won't be seeing your nephew after that comment.

You're the a-hole here.
