UCLA is getting good looks from 3. If they start converting it will be trouble.

This. Osborne and Rice can go off in a hurry. HVL and Poa have done a good job so far keeping them off balance.

If Mikayla can match Flaujaes play like someone on here said, the game is over. I don't think either one of the UCLA guards that's gaurding them can stop them.

It was as a rushed shot that wasn’t even close

She tried to get take Betts off the dribble and maybe get foul #2 on her.

Good shot, bad shot, doesn't matter because a couple of y'all complained that we let UCLA take the last shot because of it. That wasn't the case.

Rosario I think was surprisingly guarding Betts well. She def needs to work on physicality and coordination though. Think next two years she can become a beast on the post.

The ladies during the halftime report said that UCLA isn’t a big three point shooting team so I think we are more focused on clogging the middle. I agree that they will adjust the defense if UCLA starts hitting from deep.

Kim has stressed all season getting a good shot on the last play with no time left

Kim probably should have called a timeout

Nope, coach. she had already called her use it or lose it. Why waste another for one possession?

They are leaving the 3 open bc they aren’t getting their 3 shots in.

Wrong. They’re open because we’re late catching up to UCLA’s ball movement and also late coming off of screens. We’re trying to defend the 3 but haven’t been able to. You’re just making up stuff now.

went back and watched some of the action just now and she is out there to try and bully other players.

Yep….they are tripping, pushing, shoving, and throwing their arms out on rebounds to keep angel and morrow off the boards

The commentators keep saying basketball plays…it’s not- it’s called fouls

ADR is not a big scoring threat but Betts is not either. ADR is holding her own this game on defense and rebounding.

They need to come out in the second half and jump all over Ucla like they did in that last game against Mid Tenn state.

Look, we are basically playing 7 ladies today. We have to play smarter, not harder. Most effective way to play smart D and conserve energy through whole game is to defend high percentage shots and adjust, if needed. I’m not worried about 3’s when they’re shooting 11% there. We’ve done a great job containing where they are known to shoot best.

ESPN analyst standing up for LSU with the officiating. Pleasantly surprised.

If LSU defensive rebounds and cuts turnovers in 2nd half, it should be a wrap.

Giving up offensive boards and giving away possessions for easy layups is the only reason it’s close

A 12-14 point lead heading into the 4th quarter would be nice.

Don't know if I expect that, but it sure would be nice.

That's why she needs to shoot more, she really plays an unselfish game which is good because it shows she's a team player. But in this case she needs to be a lil more selfish in this game and fire the damn ball up more because she's hitting her shots.

On the what-if side of things, suppose we had gotten Angel Reese’s two big buddies in the transfer portal—Betts and Endiya Rogers?
