Starting up a horse boarding facility and want to put in a camera system.
What's a budget friendly solution that will hold up in a horse barn and will let me control access to each individual camera?

Battery-powered Ring cameras work well around my house. Need access to wireless signal, but have worked flawlessly for a long time in the elements with little cover.

I put up cameras at the barn my wife was at previously. I did $60 reolinks. They work fine during the day but at night sucked. I thought about adding IR floodlights to help them and not blind the horses.
I put a switch and old computer in the tack room since it could be locked.
Whatever you get, buy POE cameras. Easier to run a single wire to each camera.

I use Wyze v3 cams for all my needs. A $35 camera and minisd card and internet and you can record everything. It's not the highest quality, but I monitor all my farm animals like this.
The biggest hangup I have is it's only via app, but you can record off your phone and send or save. When I have animals giving birth, I'll set it up to alert me when a certain area sees movement. So I can then just scroll through the alerts and see if there is anything there.
As is true with most.. I'm sure it all goes through China.

if they are going to be viewed a lot by multiple people at a time then something else to consider is if your upload speed can support that.

If it was for a hen house I would say Google Nest.
