I'd rather get zapped right away than die from radiation poisoning..... If I could avoid radiation poisoning - I'm game to fight to live.

LA has several huge key strategic targets - petrochemical alley, Lake Charles, BOSSIER/Barksdale and ft polk(NOLA I don't believe is a target but the fallout would get em.

I am much more concerned about a Tango attack on power grid, water supply or large gathering.... or heaven forbid a EMP attack(much more plausible) - if you are near an urban area you better buckle up if that happens.

do these exist outside of that Oceans movie? and if they do, why have they never been used on a large scale?

Anywhere there is a hospital network is a target. In the 90s I believe I read that there were more warheads targeted at Houston than any other metro area in the country. Burn center in San Antonio is for sure getting a special delivery, too.

It's the lardest export port in the US by far. You want to starve the world, take out the port it all leaves from.

fricking up river travel in and out would probably be somewhere on the list though.

There are nearly a million barrels per day of refining capacity in the NOLA area (from Norco to Chalmette) plus the port and the ability to shut down the nation’s most important waterway.

NOLA itself probably isn’t much of a target but you’d be close enough to legit targets that I’m not sure it matters.
