It takes 27.8 hours for the average reader to read 1,000 pages.

That's just to read. Takes a lot more than that to evaluate and prepare to debate items etc.

Minibus is unconstitutional.

the insane 1,000 page $1.2 Trillion minibus spending bill

Didn't Elon Musk say his AI was working towards being able to summarize these large bills? Where do we think he's at with that?

I don't think that's the solution but it's certainly a start.

Any time they threaten to use "every tool"... just be prepared to go ahead and bend over. You are getting ready to take it right up the old pooper.

The Justice Department said the new program will allow medical professionals or “other groups” to petition a court to “temporarily prohibit” someone from purchasing or possessing firearms.

Just imagine how this will be used.

Massie and the rest of the people allowed this. They didn’t do everything it heir power to stop it, therefore they allowed it.

You can’t tell me there wasn’t some procedural method to delay this BS.

Yeah. It’s called Speaker Mike Johnson from our home state.

Because it is 1000 pages and airdropped to be voted on about two days afterward.

Try reading 1000 pages of legalese by yourself and breaking it down in a short period.

Each Senator has multiple aides and legal personal in their offices.

1000 pages isn't a lot. 300 page books take about 4 and a half hours of reading. bad excuse.

I know he didn’t vote in favor but why didn’t massie & others not read the bill?

I’m pretty sure I heard that they waived the 72 hour pause that they are required to have to allow people to read it. Just like Obamacare did. I remember polosi saying that after it passed they could read it

Maybe they’ll take the guns first and ask questions later or ban bump stocks. Oh wait.

After the damage is done. Crazy part is it sounds like it's ready to go which is the scariest part. If that "center" is already humming come Monday morning then this has been a given and Repubs are in on it or total dupes.

Don't know who has "standing" to file somewhere that can put a stat on it, but that needs to be done first thing Monday morning. Though doubt it will happen.
