after Colonials stopped the sneak attack from Cylons, the civil war now begins for survival
that would be a hell of a great new series they could do with todays CGI
i wouldnt trust them not to fill it full up with wokeness

While technology has gotten better, talent and time allotted to making great shots hasn't.
Jurassic Park (1993) still has many shots which surpass anything being made today. And this was a decade before HD made the scene.
