Is it too soon to drop some fertilizer and the forecast of rain too much?
Look to be a wet Thursday night, Friday.

I'm putting some down next week, mainly b/c I'm off and have the time.

Word. After seeing my soil samples, lawn beginning to green up...I think it's just about time myself.

As I posted a week or more ago, TODAY is the day!

Tax day, 4/15 is the ideal time to shoot for because the chance for cold fronts is slim. However, doing it now is ok, it may just not work as fast until it the soil gets a little warmer.

My zoysia is about halfway greened up. I'm gonna wait a couple of weeks.

But if I’m greened up, I’m throwin’ down! I’m always watching the GFS 240 to 380 hours so it’s pretty easy to tell if a major cold front looms.
Got a decent shot at Easter for 40° again, but I don’t see the potential for 20s happening until next winter.

Literally just got back from Lowe’s with all my weed & feed. This board highly recommended it to me.

I actually used some this year.
It seems to fit as I wanted to kill off some winter weeds early, prevent some crab grass if possible, and obviously give it a good feeding.
The timing might have been right with cooler temps sticking around.

The lot next to me is vacant and I'm gonna Bonus S the shite out of it in a few weeks to nuke the weeds and have it look a bit nicer.

Sounds like a good place to experiment if you don’t get caught.

Hopefully I get to buy it one day, so I view it as preemptively helping myself.

I kid but weed and feed hasn’t really ever done me wrong. I’ve generally had good results from it. I’m turf building the front where I really care and doing weed and feed in the back because it’s really bad back there. Also hitting the worst spots with some Weed B Gon. I’m sure there are better ways but it’s the back yard that only I see so who cares!

I mowed for third time today. Fertilizing tomorrow morning prior to rains.
