Anyone have experience with these systems? Basically they are oil based cold diffusers that say they can scent an entire home or multiple rooms, etc. You can buy them to cover so much square feet.

Most of them have programmable schedules, and many of them can be installed into the ducting of your HVAC system.

Curious to see if anyone has one of these systems, which one, how they like it, how much you pay a month for the oils, is it tied into the HVAC, etc.

And before anyone accuses me of being an Aggy, my wife (no pics) saw something online and now wants one.

And yes... I guess we could put a plug-in in each room, etc

like three, but they arent everywhere. I cant have that stuff in my bedroom. So, lets say about 3200 sq ft?

One in big common area, one in entry hall kitchen and one in a hall near the kids bedrooms. She has them set really low. You dont really smell them everywhere unless the AC or heater is moving air throughout the house.

I would just get wallflower plugs from Bath and Bodyworks. We just went and refills were on sale for $2.75 each. Plugs were on sale as well.

Those HVAC scented systems seem kinda counter intuitive since you're basically clogging whatever filter you have with a liquid.

Get a Hispanic maid for cheap. Your house will always smell like Fabuloso (Spanglish?).

and it’s awesome.

I prob wouldn’t add anything into my ducts. But a nice smelling home is nice. Subtle and crisp.

Drift has some awesome scents for homes

I hate overly scented homes. They give me migraines.

Programmable. Variable scent level on fan speed. It works so well my wife (no pics) turned it off. 1 for our 4k Sq. ft.

Don’t do this. If it’s essential oils, it will eventually begin to discolor the paint near your registers. If it’s a chemical based scent, it will likely reduce your coil life.

I’ve had to clear out stubborn smoke before, and enzyme-based products made the biggest difference. I ended up checking how to remove smoke smell from house and picked up a couple of those odor-exterminator candles, which worked better than I expected. Pairing them with a deep clean and a quick repaint took the edge off the lingering smell fast.

Something with vanilla during fall to winter then a citrus for spring summer. It's got a great scent, I've got to admit. I placed it near an air intake for the hvac on low setting. Very subtle.

There is a place in Baton Rouge in the Choctaw area called AeroWest that provides scents to commercial businesses. There is a lot that goes into this and although it is subtle, it definitely makes a difference.

Scent marketing:
the strategic use of aroma to influence consumer behavior, enhance brand identity, and create emotional connections. By dispersing custom, pleasant scents in11 retail, hotel, and, commercial spaces.

- Brands can increase dwell time
- improve brand recall
- boost sales by making environments feel more luxurious or inviting.

I'd like to get something like that too because my wife stopped buying the wallflower shite from B&BW or wherever since they're "endocrine disrupters" or whatever the frick she calls it.

I think that's retarded.

Aroma Retail

I have the travel sized diffuser for my office. I found this company after staying at the Trump hotel in Chicago and remembering how good it smelled. They have Trump Towers and a bunch of other Vegas hotel scents as well. Nothing is overpowering. I don't know how long the 4oz bottles would last if run 24/7. It takes me probably a few months to use up a 2oz bottle while diffusing 6ish hrs a day. I get compliments on the smell regularly.
