I’m seeing

Williams
Wright
Ward
Fountain
Baker

Hannibal
Reed
Dean

Either attack off the dribble immediately or go to baker to bring in defense. All three off the bench can quickly be apart of a sub. Ward, Williams, wright, Reed, baker, fountain can drive the lane or hit a trey. Hannibal is happy to attack the rim every possession.

I think LSU attacks the lane all day, state goes cold from outside, tigers win. Then plan for the Goliath tenn.

So, you want us to bench our starting point guard? That is your strategy?

I think it'll be hard for LSU to score 75+ on MSU so the key is defense and rebounding. Do what we didn't do last time and that's COVER HUBBARD

It won't matter, unless LSU can stop Chubba Hubbard and all State's tall thick sharpshooters.

State has lost four in a row, but who beat 'em? Kentucky, @Auburn, @A&M, USC. The Elite Fleet. Moo State is licking its chops today matched vs a beatable team.

I don't understand why you would want to bench Hannibal but ok.

I thought McMahon did a really poor job in the first game. MSU is a great defensive team. So you knew it was going to be a struggle to score. Particularly when your best catch-and-shoot player, Ward, left the game with injury. But MSU had not (to that point) been a particularly good offensive team. Hubbard was having a great night, but McMahon never made any adjustments to try to make MSU uncomfortable. I would have liked to see him extend the defense a bit to try to speed up the game. MSU was playing at their pace in the halfcourt. LSU could have maybe had a bit more success offensively if they played at a faster pace, got some points in transition, and kept MSU from consistently being able to set their halfcourt defense.

Ultimately, MSU would have still likely won the game because they hit an uncharacteristically high 10 three pointers and LSU, usually a solid three point shooting team, couldn't throw it into the ocean. But you still would have like to see McMahon try a few things rather than just accept dying a slow death.

Moving forward, it seems unlikely MSU will shoot as well from 3 as they did that night and LSU will shoot as poorly. And that might just be the story of the game because LSU and MSU were pretty much even in every other category when they played a few weeks ago.

is this a no win situation for LSU
obviously LSU wants to win a SEC tourney game but you may be knocking yourself out of NIT bid by knocking MSU out of NCAA tourney unless you pass Ole Miss in the pecking order which is going to be close
