I happened to notice i have a shitload of points today, but other than buying stupid looking shite for a steam deck or something, any point to them?

I just buy stupid stuff for my steam profile. I am pretty sure that is really all you can do with steam points currently.

13 years on Steam, I have no idea why I'm selling (once a year) achievement cards to create these points, either. 82K, and I spent almost five minutes trying to find where my balance was.
If you give me 5% off a purchase for a couple of hundred points, great. I have no idea. Buy an in game avatar? WTH? Mini profile backgrounds. Animated avatars and frames? Buy popular emoticons? This is Gen Z writ large.

I sell those achievements cards in the marketplace for steam credit. There's actually a market for those things.
