Because it was a sham from the start.
They hired a hollywood television executive to produce the hearings.
Its amazing to me that democrats and so-called GOPE types clutch pearls daily about Russia as they act EXACTLY like Russians.

I'm not trying to defend the J6 committee here, I was just saying that in this one instance there is no way to charge Hutchinson with perjury.
The way they used her testimony, it was not hearsay, but it was sensationalist garbage.
It is my understanding the driver was not even interviewed until well after the televised hearings, so they weren't hiding his testimony...they just failed to get it.
Basically, they thought Hutchinson's testimony was pretty juicy, so they rushed to get it on TV.
