and as our friend Kafka brought to our attention recently, he had a hairstylist with a strange sense of fashion (or wicked sense of humor)

Ad for the album Starting Over (1974)

It might have helped if the name of the album was in bigger print

Damn! Followed him on Twitter for years. He always seemed like such a good guy.

Go All The Way brings me back to my childhood.

Bummer, Bummer.

In a way the Raspberries were my Bealtes as a pre-teen. Such a great band. RIP

From the album Starting Over:
Play On

I never would have heard this gem if not for Underground Garage.

RIP

Saw him open for Hall and Oates in 1977 in Chicago.

I remember he had a lot of sound/audio problems and was bitching at the sound guys.

Still a great show.

Remember this one?

Was never a fan of his solo stuff and I was pretty old when I learned he was the Raspberries singer. Came as quite a shock.

Yes, vaguely.

Then there's this song he wrote that Shaun Cassidy took to the top. Love the bridge on it.

Hungry Eyes was my favorite. Came out in early 88 during my 10th grade year in high school. Great times and that song brings back great memories. RIP Eric
