These type of companies have the Clinton's on speed dial. Hoping he was able to give up most of what he knew.

Some plane from Boeing just had issues and people got injured. I think it was in Australia. Those planes need to be grounded until Boeing figures out how to fly again.

I believe that the guy did it to himself with an assist from Boeing and their lawyers.

You have NO idea the kind of pressure they will put on you and your family in these situations. First, they fire you. Then they black ball you inside of the industry. If he was an engineer he gets a background check for every job he is considered for and outlets like Boeing make sure to get that into those summaries. Then.....the lawyers get involved. What he doesn't tell or is left out is the lawsuits against this guy probably. They will go after you hard.Lawsuits that contain defamation, breech of contract, violation of NDAs, etc. Lawyer bills pile up. Family pressures mount because the legal stuff costs. He probably can't get a job anywhere in his chosen field so he is left to be Asst. Mgr at the local Sherwin Williams. Then there are the phone calls from their lawyers to your lawyers and then to you from your lawyer.....and that is just the above board stuff. If it is bad enough and serious enough, "things" start happening. Maybe your car has problems, maybe the proverbial brick through your window. Maybe a female family member gets accosted. Maybe an indiscretion from 2-3 decades ago is "found" out and brought to light. The pressures are enormous on an individual

Corporations like Boeing are a government unto themselves with departments like corporate security with sub groups designed to deal with "problems" like whistle-blower. frick with a Leviathan like Boeing, feel their wrath. They do not play nice or fair and skirt that which is legal.

Corporations have long memories. He lasted 7 years.... I guarantee you that in those 7 years his credit score went from the mid 700s to the mid 400s. His finances were probably a mess. His marriage .....either he was divorced during this time or his marriage was non-existent functionally. Probably marginally employed at this point.

Corporations like Boeing,Lockheed, Northrop, etc are very nasty players

Well that is interesting. What is your opinion on this? I have no idea on this one but it really looks shady.

Unless you've dealt with a major contractor like Boeing or Northrop, people have no idea the kinds of pressure they can bring to bear when they want something or feel threatened.

Playing devil's advocate here. Is there evidence of his claims? There's a lot of crossover between "whistleblower" and "bitter former employee"
quote:

After retiring, he embarked on a long-running legal action against the company.

He accused it of denigrating his character and hampering his career because of the issues he pointed out - charges rejected by Boeing.

Not saying he's wrong. And yes I see the quote about
quote:

It established that the location of at least 53 "non-conforming" parts in the factory was unknown, and that they were considered lost. Boeing was ordered to take remedial action.

But what are the parts? I've worked in manufacturing for decades - shite gets dinged all the time in evaluations for any number of reasons. Hell he could be right. But IMO the term whistleblower gets thrown around far too generously these days. This reads like lonely old man got in over his head complaining about his employer - of 32 years - and likely had gone off the deep end
