Watching us play UCF in baseball was the only time I saw pitcher from the opposing throw 3 wild pitches in a row to advance our runner from first all the way to home. I've never seen a skipper hurry out to the mound the way your gy did

It's called a mid-week game.
Every mid-week opponent of an SEC team treats the game like a playoff game.
Though we win the VAST majority of mid-week games we treat all pre-SEC schedule mid-week games more like a scrimmage to get young and recovering pitchers experience.
UCF is a decent team though.
