yes but he is unlikely to pitch this year.

Shores & Noot are both on the roster & recovering from injury.
Noot is expected to come back for a decent portion of the year.

At best, Shores will come back this season similar to how Coleman was used last year. At worst, he won't pitch at all this season.
Is he a draft eligible sophomore? If so, he may be another Grant Taylor and get drafted high enough on potential to bounce this summer.

Its been rumored he is only a couple weeks away. Apparently he's been throwing, etc

Why does this board have such a hard time understanding Tommy John surgery?

Yep, seen him in the dugout, he is still on the team and recovering

I talked to him at the Auburn Gym meet a couple weeks back. He said hes throwing bullpens and trying to be back by the end of the regular season.

I watched him do some throwing before the ULL game. It wasn’t max effort but I would say it was over 80%. He started fairly close and by kept moving back until at one point he would have been at 2nd base throwing to home. This was in the outfield by the bullpen. To finish he moved closer in again. It wasn’t a long toss it was more in line with a pitch even when he was far away. I don’t know much about rehab but it didn’t look like someone that won’t pitch this year.

No doubt..now how effective will he be is another question. Everyone remembers Coleman last year so that's the easy comp. Command can be a major issue that 1st season coming back from TJ

Trying to remember pythagorean theorem from middle school algebra to calculate this distance.

Counting on Shores and Noot big time next year

I don't believe Shores is draft eligible this season.
The soph draft eligibles are Guidry, Jones, Kling and Herring. Jones and Kling are the two that will get the most draft interest and will have decisions to make.

Rumored where? I'm sure he has been throwing, but that doesn't mean he's "a few weeks away." It's probably Noot you are thinking about.

No, he's not a draft eligible sophomore.
I think he'll be back around the SEC tournament.
