Kling legit has some of the best pop on the team. He gets a couple pitches to mash one. Hes a natural lead off hitter.

I’m saying he’s not the type of player you think he is. He’s very average. I do not see him in the starting lineup the whole year

We’ll revisit this in May/June

Would like to see his approach change when needed to not feel like he has to open his hips and swing hard at everything
I swear

I said SEC moron He’ll hit sub-300 this year. Book it
Congrats on making an argument in hypothetical world. Here, on earth, he’s batting .400. That’s not to say he won’t struggle or destroy sec pitching, but more to point out for over reaction to people disagreeing with you proves you are a short dick f-250 raised frat douche

Starts with hips open. Strides forward and always take a full cut while trying to make contact in front of the plate
Good pitching that can work the outter third will eat him alive

You’re not gonna mention that Kling has almost 3 times the at bats that Milazzo has are you?

Don’t let these pussys on here tell you that it’s early in the season or he’s going to be legit at leadoff. Milam is the leadoff guy, Kling should be in the nine hole. Those are legit bookend dudes. He’s thrived at the bottom of the lineup.

Against scrub programs that don’t have the pitching talent to exploit Kling’s weakness you mean?
Why, yes, my point exactly

Or is he doing it on purpose to trick the other SEC teams and he’ll hit 400 going oppo all the time? Hmmm, so devious

Strides forward and always take a full cut while trying to make contact in front of the plate
quote:For giggles and maybe some education for you I will paste his assessment.
Good pitching that can work the outter third will eat him alive
quote:
Righthanded hitter with extremely fast hands, plus bat speed, and turns the barrel over with intent well. Everything works seamlessly from a mechanical standpoint. Advanced hand eye with outstanding barrel skills and has explosive hips.

already shows power to the opposite field

You’re just flat wrong
If Paxton starts to effectively hit to the opposite field then I’ll gladly come back and say I was wrong. Nobody has ever denied his athletic traits. But his approach and mechanics are absolutely pull dependent and I believe that will be pretty easily exposed by good SEC pitching

You can keep saying that if you like, but your assessment of him being open is just stupid....so the rest of your point is just wrong. Kling will be a great hitter for us this year.

I said it last year he’s not the answer. He’s a 4th or 5th outfielder. Good pitching eats him up
Since saying that last year, he now has the second highest OBP on the team behind Travinski.
Don’t we want our leadoff hitter to get on base at a crazy high rate?

We just need him to get on base. The great hitters are needed to be stacked behind him.

You can deny his stance and mechanics but everyone has eyes
He never steps to the ball and his bat head is level with his hands through the zone because hes always trying to crank the ball to the pull side
Having good hands is somewhat nullified if the rest of your mechanics are as pull happy as his are
Again, argue all you want but the proofs in the pudding. It’ll be almost physically impossible for him to successfully hit good pitching on the outer third of the plate with his current approach. Bookmark this

I think I see what the coaches paid millions who watch him everyday decide how/where he should hit...
